Workforce Development Training Navigating the Web: Job-Hunting in the World of Online Recruiting

On February 16, 2012, I hosted a workshop at The Living Well, an arts studio devoted to soulful expression, conscious expansion and optimal wellness. Feedback from participants taught me that the assumptions that led me to design the workshop were actually facts.
1. Many people lack confidence when they have to navigate online application systems.
2. Certain segments of the unemployed population underestimate the role of social media networking in recruiting.
3. People, both youth and adults, are beginning to understand that in our era of mass electronic communication, it’s becoming even harder to prepare an impactful resume and cover letter.

Faith-Based Organizations

I have and will continue to find ways to support the efforts of faith-based organizations and foundations. My graphic design services have supported The Cartwright Group and its workshop on grant-writing for faith-based projects and the New All Saints Roman Catholic Church's Urban Resource foundation.
Curriculum Design and Editing
NeighborWorks America National Training Institute/Iona Concepts, Inc.

I worked with Maurissa Stone-Bass, a management consultant and owner of Iona Concepts, Inc., to design and edit a curriculum for mid- and senior-level managers. The focus was on effective office management. (Only some pages featured.)
